Wowee, bigger tv in hostel room now, and it's coloured! Impromptu decision to use the TV in the my bro's room since it's under-utilized. Watching Cold Case now. Not really enjoying the show cos got to finish some draft for a major assignment. These coming 2 weeks is major turning pt of our first year --> project presentations and most assignments due. Forums to participate in and sanity to hold on to, heheh.
But this is also the period where the coolest TV dramaa are back. Like next season of 'The OC', and Indo drama 'DIA 2'. Been waiting for these 2 series to be aired. Plus, need to de-stress. Wanna catch movies such as "Miss Congeniality 2" and "Wedding Date".
Rearranged abit of worktable in room, feeling better now. More organized. less things on the table. Now, have to concentrate on the ECE lesson outlines.

I'm feeling tired, after going for 2 days of MF rehearsals and receiving only 5-10 minutes worth of briefing each time. But we did have a fun time yesterday, seeing the dudes walking up and down, pretending to be the Minister. The real thing is tonight, and I'm feeling exhausted even before the official event starts. Maybe I need to sleep it off ... but I dunwanna wake up being so groggy ... >.<
Tmr school is from 0830 to 1830 -> total crap !
Lucky I finished some of the tasks. Now waiting for Parv to invade my privacy - not that I'm complaining. I need some company right now. Some people bothered me few days ago, so I took some time off to myself. I'm still feeling flush, weather so hot. Sweating a little. Thank goodness another exco is living in the same block 2 floors down, so he's giving me a ride to the Nanyang Audi later. No need to worry about long walks in the formal wear, heheh =)

Just when you have started to get the hang of things, they end.
For practicum, 7 weeks is too short. Apart from the beautifully crafted cards, some presents and red pens, I received the best gift ever ... a farewell party thrown for me in surprise! My eng class used the visualiser to "video" me around and they had presntation slides + videoclip in my honour. Had bursting balloons with confetti in it. Special plague presented to me at the end of it all. Math class was no different; with the most cards given. A group of them presented me with a small bouquet of red roses coupled with a "I Miss You" teddy bear. I think I got a fan club, haaha ....
In another aspect, just when I got used to him being by my side and all, he's flying back tomorrow. No more night walks and romantic eat-outs. No more silly jokes and scares around the corner (literally) from him. And no more afternoon huggies ... till next year (2006) ~ Sigh ~
We better improve the mode of communication. Skype sucks previously, Will check for the newer version. MSN chats infringes on too much bandwith and telephonic devices are expensive. I hope I can survive this coming next round of 1 year. I had survived 6 mths without him and that was a big time torture.

Just a quick check of development of .....
Things yet to be done for Practicum file: - Detailed lesson plans for Week 3 & 4 (that's major) - Detailed lesson plans for coming week 5 (another major)
Things to be done for formal observations in wk 7: - Worksheets for Tue's Math lesson (CT) - Detailed lesson plan for any 2-period lessons (Sup)
Other than that, I do not wish to bore you guys with the practicum details. So far, good enough. There's areas to improve on definitely (THERE SHOULD ALWAYS BE THAT). Having Hmnn withdrawal syndromes already, though he's still here >.< Everyone's in the holiday mood except for me. The faster CNY ends, the faster he goes. Damnation!
"Parveen, where are you.............?" I miss her sleeping overs, our salon routine and midnight movie marathons. Hope she do well for her formal observations last friday and for today. Hope I get to see her soon, then we can start our emotional therapy with tubs of ice-cream.
BTW, can someone tell me w/r we really have to get back to campus on 21 Feb or do we have a week break?

It's the small gestures that melt my heart. Some kids from my Math
class asked whether I can be a permanent teacher in their school. A few
even asked me to be their form teacher. Awwww .... so cute. A girl told
me "You're my favourite teacher" .. Asked that girl whether i'm being
too nice to them. She actually said, "A lot of them think you are
fierce, but we still like you" ..... Another boy gave me peanuts to eat
for recess.. hehe, such kindness =)
My science lesson on Wednesday was also a huge hit. It got around the
P4 level that my 4/1 kids enjoyed their lesson on gills bcos I brought
in Mr Fishy to class. And they keep asking me to bring 'him' back. Even
my Math class asked for Mr Fishy. These notti pesky kids, how I love
them! Taking away the week during CNY, it's only 2 more weeks with
them. I am so gonna miss my P4 pupils in St Hilda's. Can I go back to
SHPS for Pract2 please? >.<
Also, met my old coursemate from TP Legal Studies at WhiteSands. That
was a nice surprise cos I have not seen him for years, only heard about
him once a while from my cousin. It happens that he knows my cousin
too, from their previous school or something like that. I bet many of
my coursemates are still working in lawfirms, and some are doing last
years of their LLB. Only one or two are in NUS Law. None in NTU.

It's 1140 hours and I have just completed Math Weekly Lesson Plans within an hour and half. Now wreaking brains to do English and Science. Hmm, I intend do more enriching practices for English (one of the best classes ard) and for Science, I've got to do away with the text... else the kids would get bored. But too many activities and the kids will be complacent. Need strategies, strategies!
That's it, need to bring laptop over to Grandma's like this. How to complete everything ..... got slides to design for showcasing Multiplication and Division of 4-digit whole numbers. Plus for Science, we are done with all the text. Must do more collaborative work and presentations. Forest Fires, here we come !! Thank goodness for Internet Resources.

Super Long day today... had contact time (teachers' meeting) where the Principal was talking about budget. Supervisor came in around 2.30pm and we had to wait for her to finish chatting with the P. and VP. so after some marking done, she called us down. Chatted with her for about an hour and then went back to marking. Lots to mark these days !! See la, give so much schwork and hmwork ... no choice. Too little time but too many things to complete. I only had a packet of japanese biscuits for so-called "lunch".
Had to cancel meeting with Hermann for dinner today. That's disappointing. Sorry dear, I did expect things to drag today but not to leave school after 1715 hours. Was so looking forward to spending more time with him until he leaves next month. And the date is approaching very very soon. Before I realise it, he may be going back already. Plus wanna help to pack luggage and whatnots >.< As I said, too little time.
Doesn't help that I have tuition on Sundays, when I am supposed to be relaxing or perhaps spreading my lesson planning time. Same old stuff, got 4-5 kids to teach every sunday afternoon. Hmm, starting to panick cos I forgot to buy pack of balloons for my science lesson tomorrow. How ??? And I am not entirely satisified with my Sci lessons for last Tues and today .... I probably sleep in class if I am one of the la*y students, hehe.

Life in Primary school bring back good old memories. Where we used to play really hard during recess and try really hard not to fall asleep or share stories with your neighbour during lesson time. Always looking forward to the clock showing 1pm or 6pm.
I used to wonder why teachers are often grouchy when we make alot of noises but that was revealed soon enough. Apart from the administrative duties to be fulfilled, like lesosn plans to be completed and schemes of work adhered to, one would have to remember to hand in the admin file to the Principal/V.P. for checking and that personal reflections are to be done weekly. Apart from that, we have class mgmt to think about and loads of marking to do. But teaching comes with alot of privilleges such as access to staff lounges and getting to buy food when it's not crowded. If there's a line, we can proceed straight up and order. Hehe =)
This week and next will be doing observations only. The difference is that next week's observations will be done in Cooperating Teacher's lessons. Third week will be our turn to take over their class. Gotten hold of the class list already. Interesting names came to attention - we have Kristabelle, Lendrix and Crispin. These outstanding names will be easily remembered during my P4 Eng, Maths and Science classes. About 38 pupils per class average. Not too bad I guess. Anxious to get to know my CTs better. Got a mix of teachers from various races. Hope everything turns out well for my colleagues and I.

Was a good flight back from Perth, flying alone and being received at the airport by him. The Australian hols was great, except that it should be more fun if Herman was around. Other than that, had ball of a time visiting various towns like Albany, Bunbury and Busselton with Nadia Azilla and family. Had photos but all digitized photos 'disappeared' heheh .... but the physical photos turned out all picturesque. 10 days in country Down Unda' was indeed refreshing with the many beach walks and being tortured by the late night breeze. By breeze I meant strong winds according to Singaporeans. Fingers turning almost blue kind-of winds.
Reformatted my laptop the 2nd time round two days ago. Apparently, my first reformat was not fully complete so some applications were missing and I had to look around the IBM website for installations. And my wireless surfing has been cranky previously. But now problems solved and a happier person I become. Can surf with no worries of IE and Firefox not responding. The downside? iPod got configured and all files in there missing - there goes all my music and photos >> thus the digital photos disappearing act. Now, nothing much done except hang around with dearest and idle. But best times with him are times doing nothing, just enjoy his company.

Feeling bit bored and rushed at the same time. Rushed 'cos I'm leaving for Perth this Fri and have yet to pack baggage, finish up Student Union stuff and watnots. Bored because I cant do much packing in the mornings and afternoons ... in fact there's nothing much to do at home except to surf the net/check mails and sleep. Can't really start on Nov E-zine since the materials are to be compiled and formatted by directors. I just need to do tidying up and sent it out. This time round, I have delegated most of the work to the respective directors since examinations are over. Can't help feeling abit lost now, used to be swamped with assignments and projects. As my friend would say "Kids these days ... tsk tsk ... got work complain, got no work also complain hurh..."
So, I'll end up finding housework to do, like sweeping the floor and arranging things here and there. Surfing the net seems a must every morning and before going to bed, so at least 3 hours dedicated to that already. Other than that, I'll start daydreamin abt him *winks* and then start getting depressed for missing him so much. But things aside, I'm looking forward to the trip and spending time with my mum. At least tomorrow I'm meeting up with Parveen and whoever else who wanna come along. Gonna hang out at Orchard, check out the movies if there's any we wanna catch and timing is right. Wed night also going out for movies, but with my cousins and the hip auntie. The kids wanna catch some korean horror "Shutter"... goodness, these girls just love watching horror shows somehow. And laughing at how silly the 'ghosts' are.

Exams are over, sympathies to those who are still having their papers ... all the best guys >.<
Science Final Test was okay, bit crappy with all the a,b,c,d,e options... most of my shades were "e" for the choice of "all of the above" or "none of the above". Those "e" shades are either gonna pass or fail me .... as for EED (educational psychology), it was an easier paper than expected. While doing EED revision, I keep thinking I'm gonna fail 'cos I wasnt able to regurgitate watever I was reading off-hand. Lucky the paper was no killer.
Talking about killers, Maths paper was unexpectedly rushed for me. It was a 3-hours paper squeezed into a 2.5-hours slot. Didnt quite finish part(b) for 2 questions. The institute better moderate that! Last paper Bio was alright, very passable but hoping for a grade B for that ... *hoping real hard*
After Bio exam, went for small gathering with out tutor; gave him flowers, chocolates and memorabilia. Then headed to Orchard for karaoke session with the 'JJAGS' squad. and evening time met Parveen go jalan2 at Taka/Paragon. We came back by 10pm and had Pizza/KFC with the normal gang - Stanley, Guna, Grace, James, Shirleen... had loads of fun. Had a DVD movie marathon, I slept thru one movie, hehe. Science Centre trip the next morning was quite a drag.. the bunch of us dozed off during some welcome speech. Was back in Simei by 1pm.
Orh yeah, got posted to teach at St. Hilda's next semester for about 6 weeks. Hope that will turn out okay.
And, Happy Raya greetings to whoever's out there celebrating. And guys, dun forget the Deparaya jalan Wed.
Cheers!!

Have started with revision proper. Finished Science (ETS) revision on late Tues evening and have finished Educational Psychology (EED) revision at 1am... Destressing just now by watching Bridget Jones's Diary VCD, complements from Parveen. Now in gear to start reading the EED textbook ... so much for wanting to sleep before 2am today but must resist. Got to wake up early tomorrow, meeting up with Sri to do the Sungei Buloh foodweb thingy ... crappy lab stuff they make us go through.
Hmm, still contemplating whether I should stay up this morning to read the EED, lazy lar ... maybe sleep is what I truly need. Might be fresh to do the assignment later and then can start with Maths (ETM) revision. Perhaps it's best to hold the psychology text at bay for a while...
So far, so good, exam mugging on schedule. All the best to whoever's out there mugging as well >.<
Good luck dearies!! *hugs*

Having a slight headache due to E-Zine (NTU X-perience monthly email sent out to students) ... dreamweaver helps abit but I'm so novice in this. Doesn't help exams are approaching. Hmm, but not that bad yet lar. Still got people ready to move their butts to do work and finish it off. Then, I'll just need to edit and tune abit here there before emailing it out.
Tutorials ending soon. BIO revision class was surprisingly insightful, lucky read the notes before coming to class, or else lost ...... *J* and her qns make all of us "awake" and looking at Dr's face to check whether it is turning pink as an indication of sublimal hints. That's so funny sometimes. But he couldn't be any more helpful if we didnt study before the revision tutorial cos alot of times we need to ask deep qns or somesort before we can get to the root of the issue. And he did a very good job of macro-viewing the subject.
Now just lazing around trying to absorb 'effective writing' crap stuff ... tmr written test. English exam on Sat's covered thanks to Parveen who enlightened me with a way to test for complements and abrevials. Only AS Eng students can explain so clear lar... hehe. Trying to organise study timetable abit cos I keep jumping frm one subject to another this week due to when the revision tutorials are conducted.

Laptop went berserk ... and there goes all my music and photos and documents! Lucky I have not started on my assignment which is due on coming Monday >> not that bad cos it's just a lesson plan. All SP2's fault >.< In the end, did loads of useless stuff like reformatting and redownloading softwares on the comp. Slept late on Sunday just to figure the worm thingy, was absent for a lecture. Name not on attendance list, thank goodness.
Now that most of the major things like Office 2003 and iTunes are up, can start to do work already la ... need motivation to start on the lesson plan. Whole week was full of ups and downs. Celebrated birthday at Fiesta and Marche's on Friday/Saturday. The Maths quiz was okay - getting back our results tomorrow *bites fingers* Hope to pass that one there, kinda tricky.
Had a friend over, she slept at my place yesterday cos we were bored and I was trying to solve the comp issues while she came over to accompany me. Had dinner together, Guna came over at 3am while we were watching Romeo and Juliet ... he ended up watching with us. At least, we managed to get some form of relaxation =)
